About Minduro
A personal project, born from a personal story
The story behind Minduro
Hi, I'm Uroš — a developer from Slovenia. In August 2023, devastating floods destroyed my town. What followed was the hardest period of my life — PTSD, months of therapy, and a daily struggle to keep going.
During recovery, I discovered that journaling truly helped. Pouring out thoughts, attaching photos of moments — it became my anchor. But every app I tried felt either too public, too limited, or simply not private enough.
So I built Minduro — a diary that's encrypted end-to-end, where not even I as the developer can read your entries. Because your most vulnerable thoughts deserve the strongest protection.
Security & infrastructure
End-to-end encryption (AES-256-GCM)
Your notes are encrypted in your browser before they ever leave your device. The server only sees encrypted data.
Zero-knowledge architecture
Your encryption key never touches our servers. Not even the developer can read your entries.
Geo-redundant backups
Your encrypted data is backed up daily to servers in Frankfurt and Paris. Two independent locations, so your memories are safe even if one goes down.
Self-hosted infrastructure
Minduro runs on dedicated servers maintained by the developer — no third-party cloud giants. Full control, full responsibility.
Simple & fair pricing
10 notes free
Everyone gets 10 voice-dictated notes for free. No credit card, no catch. Write unlimited text notes forever.
Why not completely free?
Running servers, maintaining backups across two countries, keeping everything updated and secure — it all takes time and money. This is a one-person project, and sustainable pricing means Minduro can exist long-term.
No hidden fees, no ads, no data selling. Just a developer who maintains his own servers and wants to keep the lights on.
